THE “MOTHER OF HARLOTS” AND ISLAM

Rev 17:1  And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: Rev 17:2  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. Rev 17:3  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Rev 17:4  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: Rev 17:5  And...

“TILL THEY SEE THE SON OF MAN COMING IN HIS KINGDOM”

Mat 16:28  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.     First off when the Lord refers to the ones who shall not taste of death “till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom,” it is my understanding that the Lord is not referring to His actual prophesied coming at the end of the final installment in Israel’s program when He physically returns to the earth and establishes the kingdom of heaven on it. Instead it is my understanding that the Lord is referring to a special foretaste type, (yet at the same time real and legitimate), ‘seeing’ of Him “coming in his kingdom,” which was going to be given to certain of His disciples for a very special reason. And it was...

“BUT IF YE FORGIVE NOT MEN THEIR TRESPASSES”

Mat 6:14  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: Mat 6:15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.   First off we need to acknowledge that Matthew 6:14–15 is part of what is commonly called ‘The Sermon on the Mount.’ And of course this means that it is part of the fundamental doctrines for the edification of the remnant of Israel, which the Lord was giving to His called out remnant during the opening part of the climactic stage of Israel’s program. By having believed “the gospel of the kingdom,” the members of the remnant received justification unto eternal life, and they thereby became members of ‘the called out seed of Jacob,’ the “Israel of God” to whom God would...

“THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU”

Luk 17:20  And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luk 17:21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.   I think you could get rich if you were given a dime for every time someone brings up these verses in connection with either questioning, or wanting to deny, that the “kingdom of God/kingdom of heaven” in Israel’s program is describing the literal and physical establishment of God’s dominion and kingdom on this earth. To some it is just a puzzling couple of verses, and they have a hard time figuring out what the Lord is saying when it is so obvious from everything else that is said about the...

ICOR.15:23-28: THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD

1Co 15:20  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 1Co 15:21  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 1Co 15:24  Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1Co 15:25  For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.   What Paul sets forth in I Corinthians 15:20-24 (actually what begins in verse 20 continues on through verse 28, not just verse 24) is further...

CAN SOMEONE HAVE AN “OUT OF BODY” EXPERIENCE TODAY?

2Co 12:1  It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2Co 12:2  I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; such an one caught up to the third heaven. 2Co 12:3  And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 2Co 12:4  How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.   We have all heard someone at one point in our lives say that they have had an ‘out of body’ experience, and most commonly they will say that they were led to a ‘bright light,’ or hovered over their lifeless bodies, or they will say they...

THE SWEET INFLUENCES OF PLEIADES AND THE ZODIAC

Job 38:29  Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it? Job 38:30  The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. Job 38:31  Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Job 38:32  Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Job 38:33  Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?     In view of the context in which God asks Job, “Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?” it is my understanding that they are two of the many ‘ordinance powers’ of the firmament of heaven, which are not only integral components of the very structural...

DID PAUL WRITE THE BOOK OF HEBREWS?

Col 1:1  Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, Col 1:2  To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.   In some, if not most bibles declare that the Apostle Paul wrote the book of Hebrews, and we see the title “The epistle of Paul to the Hebrews,” and most will assume that the Apostle Paul penned this epistle just as he did the 13 prior books. This has been a great mystery among the church world because the writer does not identify himself, so most commonly people make assumptions based upon the fact that the writer addressed some of the saints that Paul mentioned in his epistles, and that the grammar of the writer is also...

PETER AND PAUL WRITING TO THE SAME PEOPLE? ~PETER WRITING FROM BABYLON?

Gal 2:7  But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; Gal 2:8  (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) Gal 2:9  And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.   This kind of objection is common, with the assumption being made that Peter and Paul must have wrote to the exact same people in the Galatian area. But it is evident from what Paul says in his epistle to the Galatians, and from what Peter...

YOUR FAITH SHOULD NOT STAND IN THE WISDOM OF MEN

1Co 2:1  And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 1Co 2:2  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 1Co 2:3  And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 1Co 2:4  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 1Co 2:5  That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.   One of the first doctrines of reproof given by the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians deals with their desire to be ‘enticed’ by men that preached unto them the “good words and fair speeches” that catered to their wants and desires...
