FALSE PROPHETS: “YE SHALL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS”

Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mat 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Mat 7:17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.     The specific “fruits” of these particular false prophets that the Lord warns the remnant of Israel about will fall into more than one category or type. For this reason the Lord uses the plural word “fruits” when He tells the remnant, “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Moreover each of these categories of their false teachings and prophecies will have a direct connection to the major progressive developments that will be going on during...

THE MAGNIFYING AND PROVOKING MINISTRY OF PAUL

Rom 11:11  I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Rom 11:12  Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? Rom 11:13  For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: Rom 11:14  If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.     The context of Romans 11:13–14, (where Paul particularly speaks about personally ‘provoking’ those of his flesh), has to do with what God has him teach us regarding the temporary nature of the suspension of Israel’s program,...

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND SEASON’S GREETINGS?

Gal 4:9  But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Gal 4:10  Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. Gal 4:11  I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. Throughout the year, we find people all over the world observing and celebrating various holidays and “holy days;” and while each culture has their own specific “days, and months, and times, and years” to “observe” these days, there is a great importance placed upon these days by mankind based upon how ‘near and dear’ the day has become concerning the individuals lives, or how widely popular the days have become. And while this study may ‘rub some the wrong...

PREACHING THE LORD UNTO THE GRECIANS?

Act 11:19  Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. Act 11:20  And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. Act 11:21  And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.       As you undoubtedly know, after describing in Acts 8:1 to 11:18 that His program with Israel did not continue on as it was expected to do, and as it was prophesied to do, following the vision that He gave to Stephen; (but instead by what did happen God made it clearly evident that He was doing something...

THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES: ACTS 7 AND 8

Act 8:1  And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. Act 8:2  And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. Act 8:3  As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Act 8:4  Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.   In view of the prophesied time of “repentance to Israel” that God was giving to His nation during the time covered by the opening seven chapters of the Book of Acts, (which specifically commenced on the Day of Pentecost...

CAN SOMEONE HAVE AN “OUT OF BODY” EXPERIENCE TODAY?

2Co 12:1  It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2Co 12:2  I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; such an one caught up to the third heaven. 2Co 12:3  And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 2Co 12:4  How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.   We have all heard someone at one point in our lives say that they have had an ‘out of body’ experience, and most commonly they will say that they were led to a ‘bright light,’ or hovered over their lifeless bodies, or they will say they...

ISRAEL’S FIRST LESSON IN GOD’S JEHOVAH-NESS

Exo 15:22  So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. Exo 15:23  And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. Exo 15:24  And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? Exo 15:25  And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, Exo 15:26  And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his...
