HOW IS THE BELIEVER “FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT”?

Eph 5:17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Eph 5:18  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;   First off, my understanding is that being “filled with the Spirit” as per Ephesians 5:18 is not some mystical, or emotional, or ecstatic and/or supernatural experience involving the Holy Spirit. Nor is the ‘filling’ that Paul is talking about the same kind of ‘filling’ found in Israel’s program, which occurred with the prophets in general when they prophesied, or with the remnant of Israel when they were “baptized with the Holy Ghost” in connection with receiving “power from on high” in order for them to fulfill the prophesied signs, wonders, and miracles spoken about in connection with the...

WHAT ABOUT DINOSAURS/ U.F.O.’S?

Man bases ‘his’ theory upon carbon dating which is not always accurate, along with many of the other dating methods that are used today. And this is something that is not only ponted out by bible believing Christians who take the creation accout literally, but it is even acknowledged within the halls of secular science itself; though not all that vocally, or even that often. (The inventor of radiocarbon dating, Willard Libby, asserted that it was only accurate for dating objects within the range of a couple thousand years old.) Radioactive carbon certainly exists, along with other such elements. But the problem with the dating methods employing them is that they are based upon way too many unproveable assumptions regarding their existance. If a person...

GODLINESS PT.2~ DOING THINGS GOD’S WAY

Oftentimes the Thessalonians are called by many as the ‘model saint,’ the Thessalonians had learned to think like God does and they were well aware of Satan’s attempt to hinder their edification also. However as man advances through time he begins to become more and more comfortable with the “fashion of this world.” The world today has advanced greatly since Paul’s day, and man has created a world as if were his own ‘heaven on earth.’     1Co 7:31  And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.         The list of the ‘loves’ and desires of the man has gotten longer and easier to attain, also the more money you have, the easier it is to follow this world’s system, man can have all this world has to offer,...

GODLINESS PT. 1~THINKING LIKE GOD DOES

Rom 1:8  First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. Rom 1:9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Rom 1:10  Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. Rom 1:11  For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; Rom 1:12  That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Rom 1:13  Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit...
